Thanks madDan. I am concerned about the balancing issue and my gut feeling says stay away from this product.

I hear what you are saying about potentially getting a refund. However I can see other potential costs with regard to getting tyres removed, cleaning out the gunk and then re-fitting.

I guess I was hoping somebody, (or even better lots of somebodies), would pop up and say that it was the best thing they ever invested in.

coolfart a 42 owner went through loads of balance issues and trying to sort including swapping manf of spacers in the end it was down to gunk in his tyres iirc contact him on smart maniacs to find out more I think he only had 16 inch wheels but not sure on tyre profile.

You could suck it and see, ask them specifically about balance issues and if you'll get a refund should you have problems before having it done.

Hi All,

Has anyone used this product? More specifically in 205/45/R16 tyres.

I know that once installed, the car has to be driven slowly for a few miles in order to distribute the 'gunk' and rebalance the wheel.. BUT.. Does it tend to run down to the bottom of the tyre again and unbalance the wheel/tyre if the car is not used for a few days?

Also, the Evilution site write-up on it mentions that it is not recommended for low profile tyres. I don't consider my tyres to be low profile, but would be interested to hear from anyone that has used this product.

Advice and views would be greatly appreciated

Funny one this, it used to be standard a few years ago on a service to have an engine flush, both smart/MB and indi's used to do this. Also many people claim that you can extract more crud from the engine by using the Pela vacuum pump than with a sump plug.

Saying that, MB and many indi's don't flush the engine on oil change any more, must be a reason, either it does cause problems or it's been dropped due to cost overheads.

The other issues with an engine flush are that if its doing any good it must be displacing stuck on rubbish, stuck on rubbish tends to come away in lumps, lumps tend to block oil ways, blocked oilways tend to lead to engines going bang.....

There are one or two products that dont quite work in this way, but to be honest unless you have a known issue I would stick away from them (even though I am a massive fan of one of the products from previous experience)....

If you do have a known/suspected problem i would drop the oil pan anyway and have a look at the strainer...

Incidentally, I had a look at a few of the other cars the seller has listed on ebay, and some of the prices seem a little odd.....

You know what they say, if it's too good to be true.......

Car came with steels but decided to swap them back and get the steels shipped to save the alloys getting damaged in transit. Made the decision before I knew the snow was coming. Bad call but at least I made it. Steels back next week
