Petrol Prices

A new feature for our carded members!

At the bottom of the main page you will find a new block containing a map. You can search this map for any location in the UK and see what the price of petrol is for any given station.

The prices are updated by the users so they can be out of date, but you can update them yourself to ensure that others have the most up-to-date information. To that end, I would suggest that people use it as a guide price rather then a guarantee. All the same, I think it is a useful thing to have and hope you guys find it useful too!

Forum module

The forum module has stopped working for no apparent reason and I can't find out what is wrong. I have undone all that I have recently modified and it still doesn't work.

I am still working on it.

Signature picture sizes

Just a quick reminder really. I have had a couple of comments made to me about the size of signatures (the text under a persons post). Can people ensure that it is no larger then 640px by 240px MAX and no more then about 20-30k. There are a number of people still on dial-up as broadband isn't available in their area and large signature pictures slow the loading of a page down.

Site speed

As part of finding out what is causing the site to slow down at times we are going to be looking at the modules that are currently running and removing them one at a time.

No data will be lost as we have a backup, but some modules will dissapear and reappear at times. Please do not email us if a module isn't there, we know

TheRoadster.net is holding its annual Trackday on the 26th July. It is held at the Haynes Motor Museum on their track of a mear 1.2km length, the Roadster can be tested to the limits on the tight corners rather then worrying about the straight line speed! As we all know the Roadster is better on corners then on the straights.

It costs £89 per car for the day, we will have 10 7 cars in total and be managing the time people are on the track for; to maximise the time on the track for all.

So if you are intersted in coming along then check out the advert page for more details and to apply.

It is a great day out for all!

Update 23/06/2008 reduced numbers to 7 places due to reduced interest in this event, this however will allow those taking part more time on the circuit. - madDan

Welcome to the NEW LOOK TheRoadster.net!!

Finally we have got over to the new server This new place still has a few minor issues, but hopefully will work far better then the last place did!

We hope you like the new look for us and hopefully the new stability!

On one note, we were unable to get the latest database downloaded so have gone from a backup of a few days ago, losing some posts and data along the way, we apologise for this and hope you can forgive us!
